The full results of the film contest that took place in Odessa.
In Odessa, held the closing ceremony of the 8th international film festival. At the awards ceremony at the Opera house award prizes to the best films in the competition programs.
This year’s Grand Prix and a cash award of 10 thousand Euro received by the Directors of the Belgian-Dutch-Bulgarian film “the King of the Belgians” Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth, – reported in Twitter of the festival.
Best Ukrainian feature film in nackenhorst was “Dixie Land” by Roman Bondarchuk.
Award for the best feature film was given to film Valentine Vasyanovich “black Level”.
Best national short film was the “Release’97,” Paul Ostrikova. Tape received the “Golden Duke” and a reward of 50 thousand UAH.
In addition, special diplomas from the International Federation of film critics FIPRESCI has awarded short film Director Catherine Ermine “lilac”, a film by Valentin Vasyanovych “black Level” and the feature film “Pryputni” directed by Arkady Nepytalyuk.
And a reward of 50 thousand UAH for the best actor in the national contest received 82-year-old actress Nina Antonova, the heroine of the film by Sergey Bukovsky “Main role”.
The best film in the international competition called the Spanish film “Summer 1993” Director Carla Simone. They received the statuette of the Duke and the prize of EUR 5 thousand.
Special diploma of the International jury went to Director of PRC Gene Jun for the film “free and easy”, which reveals the immoral society of the city. And the best Directors of the international jury called Nana, Ekvtimishvili and Simon gross for the Georgian-German-French film “My happy family”. He received the prize of 3 thousand Euro.
The prize for best actor and 2 thousand euros received actress Iya, Chugoshvili and CISA, Kumsishvili, played in the film “My happy family”.
Winner of the European documentary films was the Ukrainian Director Sergei Bukovsky with the movie “Main role”. The same film, we recall, received a “Gold Dzyga” in the documentary category.
The best series on the 8 th Odessa international film festival (OIFF) is recognized as the drama-Thriller “Cursed mountains” (Croatia). The prize was a set of post-production services in the amount of 10 thousand dollars.
Among the winners recognized by pitching two projects — “Stop the earth” (directed by Catherine Ermine) and “My thoughts are quiet” (Antonio Lukic). Both projects received the prize of 60 thousand hryvnias from the sponsor of the OIFF — investment and development company UDP.
In the category Work in progress won the project Director Roman Bondarchuk “Volcano”.
The winning project was awarded a prize by the General air carrier of the OIFF — UIA: ticket face value in the amount of 2 thousand dollars.
The closing film of the festival was the Comedy in Sally Potter’s “Party” participating in competition of the Berlinale-2017.
The guest of honor of closing the FESTIVAL was French actress Isabelle Huppert, which was awarded an honour award for contribution to cinema.
In addition, an honorary “Golden Duke” for contribution to cinema was received by Agnieszka Holland, whose “the mark of the beast” was shown at the FESTIVAL in one of the out-of-competition programs.
