The German champion Bayern responded quickly to rumors of a possible departure from the club of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
The British press today reported on the possible move Lewandowski to Chelsea. Interest in the 28-year-old pole is credited with “Manchester United”. Moreover, the agent of the player was allegedly held preliminary talks with two English clubs.
Bayern prefer such rumors to suppress official statements. The press service of the Munich club has categorically denied the possible departure of Robert Lewandowski.
“The contract Lewandowski are calculated by 2021. Robert extended the agreement not so long ago. Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern. There are no negotiations with other clubs, and they will not.
If other clubs are in talks with players who have a long-term contract, they risk punishment from FIFA,” reads a statement from Bayern.
Lewandowski after signing a new contract with “Bavaria” became the highest-paid footballer in German Bundesliga. In Munich pole annually earns 15 million euros.
In three years at Bayern, Robert Lewandowski helped the club win five trophies. In all competitions the forward has played 147 matches in which he scored 110 goals and recorded 30 assists.
