Avakov will check for the distribution of weapons

The court ordered the Prosecutor General to check the Minister of internal Affairs.

The court rejected the arguments of the GPU, which explained the reluctance to register the criminal proceedings “is not set out in full the elements of the offence”.

“The law imposes on the applicant the obligation to fully reproduce the statement or report on criminal offence all the elements of the offense, fairly presenting objective elements of a crime”, – stated in the judgment.

During a series of investigations about the distribution of premium weapons, the reporters found that the awarding of civilians, interior Minister Arsen Avakov in violation of several provisions of Ukrainian legislation.

Avakov distributes award weapon, referring to the Disciplinary Charter of the Armed forces. Although he is neither a Minister of defense or commander-in-chief. In the preamble of the Charter of the armed forces is clearly stated to whom it applies – military personnel, reservists, guards, security service, etc. But not on the interior Minister and civilians.
