Avakov has decided that Canadians will be interested in the work of Ukrainian official.
The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arseniy Avakov presented the English translation of the second revised edition of the book “Dobrobiti. The story of the heroism of the battalion, saved the country “about the history of volunteerism in the Ministry of interior.
The presentation was held Sunday at the Institute St. Vladimir in Toronto, reports UKRINFORM.
“We are grateful to each foreign citizen, especially the numerous representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Canada, for the assistance they provided to restore the defense potential of our state. Every dollar or Euro that are listed Ukrainian volunteer organizations, each unit of equipment, clothing and ammunition sent to the front, each speech or accepted by the international community, the resolution on Ukraine is a real help in the protection of a civilized democratic Europe and the entire free Western world “, – said Avakov .
The presentation came the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, Andriy Shevchenko, Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vaschu, members of the Ukrainian national team “Igor unconquered”, adviser to the Minister of internal Affairs Evgenie Terekhov, the members of the Ukrainian community and others.
The project “Dobrobiti” – a chronicle of the history of the movement and at the same time meditating on his nature. More than 30 recollections from key participants in those events – the then military-political leadership of Ukraine, commanders of the military personnel of formations created volunteer units, politicians, volunteers, journalists, public figures and ordinary soldiers.
Second edition of the book was published in late 2016 with a circulation of over 10,000 copies, a significant part of which was submitted by direct participants of those events and the families of the victims. Presentation of the first edition was held in mid-September last year.
