The Minister said that today he has no arguments to leave his post.
The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov will leave my post if you find arguments not to be in the office. He said this to journalists after the presentation of the book “Lenin with us?” in the Ukrainian house.
“Someone must answer for what is happening, so here I am today responsible for what is happening. As soon as I find the arguments in order for me not to be in this position, believe me, I will not keep here neither the will nor the power. But if I find the arguments and the motives to do their job and be effective, I will stay at your place,” he said.
Avakov also said that he did not know why the Parliament had to support his resignation.
“Parliament is there to make serious decisions, and I don’t know why he had to support”, – said Avakov.
We will remind, today, on 7 November, the Verkhovna Rada rejected the draft resolution on dismissal of Avakov from the post of Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine. The draft resolution voted only 31 MP from 297 registered in the session hall. Voted against 102 members of Parliament. The authors of the draft resolution are the people’s deputies from “Blok Petro Poroshenko” Sergei Caplin and Andrew Nemirovsky.
