Avakov called on the security forces to prepare for the return of the Donbass

About 70 percent of the residents of DNR and LNR would like to return, said the head of the interior Ministry.

Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said the security forces should be ready to return the territories controlled by DND and LNR today.

According to him, Avakov, about 70 percent of the residents of DNR and LNR would like to get back control of Ukraine, despite the constant propaganda from the Russian side.

“These people feel that they would be better with the Ukraine. So today we have to be ready, and the interior Ministry, and the police and SES, and others. We need to be ready for it. I put these tasks when we’re talking on a serious meeting to a large audience. And for border guards, and national guards, and for police,” – said Avakov.

Note that in February Avakov said that Ukraine will return the Donbass in the year and a half. But last fall he said that the Donbass free the National guard and it will happen within two years.
