Audi has started to test heavy duty hybrid crossover

Crossover SQ8 will be equipped with 3.0-litre petrol V6 TFSI engine with recoil 444 HP and an electric motor.

Company Audi has started road tests of sports modification of the crossover Q8. Photospies the first time managed to photograph the car during the test. The images were published by Autocar. The car will be the new flagship of the company and will be presented next year.

The novelty will go on sale under the name SQ8 and will compete BMW X6 m Crossover will be equipped with hybrid power plant. Its membership will include the 3.0-litre petrol V6 TFSI engine with recoil 444 HP and an electric motor. The total capacity will be 470 horsepower.

The design of the machine will be almost completely repeat the concept prototype Q8 Sport, which debuted at the Geneva motor show in March 2017. The model will be produced at the plant in Bratislava currently is assembling the second generation Q7. The cost of the crossover will exceed 110 500 euros.

In the engine range of the standard version of the crossover Q8 will include diesel and gasoline V6 and V8 engines with turbocharging. On the world market kupeobrazny Audi SUV will compete with BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
