Audi has announced the first electric crossover

The production model will establish the plant in Brussels.

Audi will begin selling its first electric crossover in 2018. As well as all future electric cars of the German brand, this car will receive the prefix E-Tron in the title. As said the publication Autocar, the Board member responsible for sales and marketing, Dietmar Voggenreiter, Audi will be the first “premium manufacturer that issued the electric SUV”.

In the model lineup of the brand the car will take place between the Q5 and Q7. Power reserve of new items will exceed 500 kilometers. The production model will establish the plant in Brussels, where will be organized not only build machines but also manufacturing all electrical components. Structurally, the car will copy the conceptual e-tron quattro, which was introduced in autumn 2015 in Frankfurt. The concept equipped with three electric motors (two on the rear axle and one on the front) with a total out of 435 up to 503 HP, outstanding to 800 Nm of torque.
