At the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant disconnected unit

The radiation background in the area of Zaporizhzhya NPP is in normal.

The first power unit of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP) operation of the automation disconnected from the power grid, the causes are being investigated.

This was reported in the Sunday press service of the operator of the Ukrainian NPP company “Energoatom”.

“At 15:09 on the power unit №1 of Zaporizhzhya NPP the action of the automation disconnected from the power grid. The cause of automation are investigated”, — is spoken in the message.

In a press-service reported that at the moment at the Zaporizhzhya NPP in the work are three units. The total capacity of the generators is 2670 MW, comments on the operation of the main equipment of operating power units and staff there.

The radiation background in the area of Zaporizhzhya NPP and in sanitary-protective zone corresponds to the natural radiation background, added in a press-service.
