At Amsterdam airport using facial recognition system

The test equipment will last for three months.

At Amsterdam airport Schiphol has begun system testing of face recognition of passengers for pick-up on a plane without having to show your passport and boarding pass at the gate.

The procedure that has been in the waiting room, the passenger must go to the machine, scan your passport and boarding pass, after which the machine take your picture.

In the process of landing, the traveler can walk to the plane through the selected passage, where the system recognizes his face and opens the turnstile.

The test equipment will last for three months. During this period, the airport intends to evaluate the performance, reliability, and convenience.

Now, in many airports in Europe during the flights within the Schengen area, passengers need to scan your boarding pass at the entrance to the control zone and at the turnstile before boarding the plane without having to show a passport.
