Scientists have come to believe that galaxies can’t exist forever and called the conditions under which a galaxy is considered dead.
According to planetary scientists, galaxies are extremely distant gravitationally bound system consisting of star clusters, dark matter and interstellar gas. Everything included in the galaxy objects are in constant motion, where the interstellar gas forms new stars.
Recent research suggests that sooner or later the galaxy die. First in the galaxy cease to be born new stars, but finally lost the galaxy can only be considered when it fades the last star.
Proof of this is the recently discovered galaxy ZF-COSMOS-20115, extinct stars which almost do not give radiation.
However, this theory, there are opponents who cite the example of the galaxy, which long time was not born a new star, but in the end still started to be a new star cluster.
