Scientists have received pictures of elderly stars in the form of “fiery eyes”.

The researchers said that the object of study is a planet in the constellation of Pump – U Antliae.
Using the ALMA telescope, astronomers were able to consider how the now looks like the fire giant, in the stage of active ageing. In such moments of substances in the core of the star, trying to escape, causing the gas ring formed by the layers on top of each other.
This process is very interested scientists, because after a certain time and after passing through several stages of this fire giant will become a white dwarf, completely different from the current state of the planet.
