Assets of Ukrainian banks increased by UAH 7 billion

Now in Ukraine a full-fledged act 89 banks.

Assets of operating banks in Ukraine in January-July 2017 rose 7,171 billion UAH, or 0.6%, to 1,263 trillion UAH.

This was reported in the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to the regulator, in July, the assets grew by 25,546 billion, or 2.1%. At the same time, liabilities of banks decreased by 3.2%, including in July – by 0.1%. The capital of the banks since the beginning of the year increased by 34.9%

As of 1 August, the number operating in Ukraine of banks licensed to conduct banking activities, amounted to 89, including 38 banks with foreign capital.

We will remind, in July the Deposit guarantee Fund of individuals (FGUP) sold 30 assets of insolvent banks in the amount of 20.23 million.
