The detainee was cash funds from the project Wall.
The NEB conducted a series of searches related to the theft from the project Wall, the result was arrested the accomplice in the misappropriation of funds by officials of the state border service and heads of the enterprises-contractors. On Thursday, November 16, reported the press service of the Bureau.
“The detectives detained the man, “who is suspected of involvement in the corruption scheme on the embezzlement of funds from the state budget allocated for engineering arrangement of the Ukrainian-Russian state border of the territories adjacent to the ATO area in especially large sizes – the so-called Wall project”, – stated in the message.
According to NABU, the detainee organized the purchase of the enterprises with signs of fictitiousness in 2015-2016 and provided through the encashment of non-cash assets received from the contractors.
“According to the investigation, with the participation of this enterprise converted to cash more than 10 million UAH allocated for engineering arrangement of border, which later took possession of the participants of the criminal scheme,” – noted in the NEB.
At present, with the detainee investigative actions are carried out, the question of the communication to him of suspicion, and restraint.
