Archaeologists have found a rare artifact of the era of the Sassanids

Scientists have unearthed an ancient loom.

Shortly before the devastating earthquake with an amplitude of 7.3 points in Iraq were discovered artifacts of the era of the Sassanids.

Deeper the loom was buried Assyrian seal, whose age is dated 9 — 7 centuries BC the depiction of the winged genies on the sides of the sacred tree — a common ornamental motif of the Assyrian Kingdom, which appears in the decoration of the Palace rooms or clothing as a talisman, designed to protect the owner from evil forces. As suggested by archaeologists, the seal was replaced by an official signature and belonged to a senior person.

Recall that the earthquake in Iraq has claimed the lives of 452 people, making it the deadliest disaster of 2017.
