Archaeologists have discovered in Egypt, the oldest mummy

During excavations in Egypt a team of archaeologists has discovered an ancient mummy, which is about 3.5 thousand years.

This finding was made in the unexplored tomb located in Luxor.

According to the data provided by the journalists of Agence France-Presse, tombs with interesting content was identified in the 1990s years, but until recently they were not opened.

The find dates back to the II Millennium BC which historians call the New Kingdom period. After opening the sarcophagus, archaeologists found not only embalmed body, but many of the objects used during the funerary ritual which testifies to the high social status of the deceased.
