In the elite of Ukrainian football next season will play 12 clubs.
As you know, this season the championship of Ukraine on football takes place in two stages – after a traditional two-round tournament of 12 clubs without a loss of points was divided into two groups: top six led the fight for the championship and places in European competition, and the bottom needs to define two of the club flying in the First League.
This format is the basis for the next season. The only change will concern the struggle for survival. Now the Prime Minister-League will leave only the worst team of the season, the clubs finishing in 10th and 11th places in the play-offs will play against second and third places in the First League.
According to “Tribuna.com” that upgraded the format of the championship of Ukraine was supported by all clubs, except for FC Karpaty Lviv, who insisted on the fact that the elite of Ukrainian football should play the 16 clubs.
At the moment four clubs in the Premier League there are problems with certification for the next season – the list includes “Chernomorets”, “Star”, “Karpaty” and “Volyn”, which, together with the Dnipro close to departure in the First League.
