The new chief police Dnipropetrovsk region appointed Vitaly Hlukhoverya, who previously held the post of head of the Dnieper Institute of internal Affairs.
This was announced by adviser to the interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko in Facebook.
Deputy chief of police region on issues of Public security will be the fighter of the battalion “Dnepr-1”, head of the patrol police of the Dnieper, senior Lieutenant Vladimir Bagonis.
Gerashchenko also said that all the circumstances of violation of the law by police officers during the events of may 9 will be checked special commissions headed by head of the Department of internal security of national police Colonel Eugene Smith.
The head of national police Sergey Knyazev also announced the suspension of the duties of the head of the Melitopol police for violations of similar events in the river.
“As I promised this morning, the reaction of interior Minister Arsen Avakov and the Head of the police at events in the river will be immediate. As it should be in a democratic state,” he wrote.
