Apple will take 50% (14 million units) market of “smart” hours thanks to the model with integrated LTE modem. Sales of the device reached 7.9 billion dollars. Forecast provided by analysts CCS Insight.
“Consumers are interested in the Apple Watch Series 2 thanks to water-resistance and fitness tracking. In the market for a smart watch cupertinos lead, and the output of the model with cellular connectivity only to strengthen the company’s position,” — said analyst George Gogiashvili.
This year, many brands came to the market smartwatches based on Android Wear. The popularity of the devices grows, so, according to the forecast, until the end of the year, the share of devices will increase to 21% (14% a year earlier).
