The Italians registered the brand Steve Jobs in 2012, and received the right to use it
Italian businessmen Vincenzo and Giacomo Barbato, registered in 2012 brand Steve Jobs, has received all necessary legal documents for its use. Before that, Apple filed a lawsuit after the company acknowledged the deliberate slowdown of smartphones.
The intellectual property office of the European Union recognized the validity of registration in 2014, however, the trial with Apple lasted another three years. As noted by the Barbato brothers, they decided to register the brand Steve Jobs “as a sign of respect to this great businessman”.
They also pointed to the fact that the name of the founder of Apple not assigned to the company legally. The logo of the brand represents the Latin letter J, “bitten” on the right side. Apple’s lawyers based their position on the fact that this logo is similar to the Apple logo to the point of confusion. However, the court disagreed with this argument.
“Judges did not consider the letter like on the fetus,” explained brothers..
Currently, under the brand Steve Jobs are issued jeans, t-shirts and other clothing, but in the future perhaps, and electronics manufacturing. As explained by the entrepreneurs, the brand was conceived by them in the first place for the production of electronic devices. So the brothers do not exclude the start of production of smartphones with the Android operating system.
