The company Facebook has released a children’s version of the messenger app called Messenger Kids.

It is designed for children under 13 years of age who can use the app to communicate with friends and relatives.

How it works

To register for the Kids Messenger is possible only through the account of one of the parents, because Facebook policy prohibits the creation of child pages. Mom or dad young person must download the app to your smartphone or tablet to your child and validate the page using your account in Facebook.

“Soft” control

The company said that with the help of Messenger Kids parents will be able to implement “soft” control over their child. Their child will not be able to add friends — this will only occur with the consent of mom or dad. Parents will see all of the correspondence and a full list of the people with whom your child communicates.

Children’s page would be impossible to find using conventional search engine, so that children were able to make friends, their parents will have to find each other and endorse the communication of young users.

What is special about

The main difference between a children’s version of an adult — the lack of advertising. The application interface is more cartoonish: the buttons bigger and the colours brighter and richer.

To the child it was fun to communicate in video chats, in Messenger Kids have amusing stickers, filters and gifs. For example, talking with the grandmother, the grandson can “finish” her glasses, or even a dinosaur head.
