Man can go to jail for three years.
In Dubai there appeared before the court 27-year-old Scot Jamie Harron that the bar touched one of the visitors for the hip. He is accused of “committing public indecency”.
The authorities also accuse the Scot in the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
The publication reports that the previous hearing was postponed, however, this was not notified neither the convict nor his lawyer. As a result, for failing to appear in court Harron was sentenced to 30 days in prison.
It is known that the incident occurred in Herroom bar Dubai the Rock Bottom on July 15. He worked as an electrician in Afghanistan and stayed in UAE for a few days. That day the bar was filled and fearing to spill drinks, Charron tried to make room for the passage of the hand. Accidentally he touched the thigh of a man, standing nearby, and he called the police.
Harron was initially detained for five days, but later released. Currently, representatives of local authorities remains the passport of the Scot. If they prove his guilt in court, he can be sentenced to three years imprisonment.
