On the territory of three States can form a SUPERVOLCANO.
The researchers analyzed data from thousands of geological sensors and recorded at a depth of 200 km thermal anomaly bubble with a diameter of 400 kilometres, the temperature of which is hundreds of degrees higher than the rock around. This anomaly affects the States of Vermont, new Hampshire, Massachusetts and possibly other States.
This region has long been considered stable in geological terms, and there are no active volcanoes, so geophysicists believe that they are watching a relatively recent phenomenon.
The researchers believe that the eruption would be natural for such education, but before it can take millions of years.
