Advanced Micro Devices has decided to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary edition CPU Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition.
This CPU was declassified U.S. retailer and will go on sale on 30 April, the day before the 50th birthday of the “red” chip maker.
Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition will probably be the last CPU that AMD made for 12-nm process. As you know, this summer to replace the desktop solutions line Ryzen 2000 come chips on 7-nanometer architecture Zen 2 collection Matisse (Ryzen 3000).
“Jubilee” CPU will get eight cores Zen+ with support for multithreading and is equipped with a cooler Wraith Prism. Operating frequencies, unfortunately, remain unknown. Given the cost of $341, we can assume that Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition works at higher frequencies than conventional Ryzen 7 2700X (3.7 V/4.3 GHz), which is available at a price of $295.
We will remind, last year Intel on the occasion of the anniversary of 16-bit 8086 processor released chip Core i7-8086K. It is a selective version of the Core i7-8700K (6 cores/12 threads, 3.7 V/4.7 GHz) and operates at speeds of 4 to 5 GHz in Turbo Boost mode.
