Alonso topped the ranking of the highest paid racers of Formula 1

The racer “the McLaren” Fernando Alonso has regained its status as the highest-paid pilots of Formula 1.

For the upcoming season, Alonso will earn $ 40 million, more than the main favorite for the title – the racer “Mercedes” Lewis Hamilton.

A major breakthrough in financial terms made newly minted Hamilton’s team-mate Valtteri Bottas – Finn one-year contract with the “Mercedes” will earn 8.5 million in U.S. currency.

Top 10 highest paid riders of the season in Formula 1:

1. Fernando Alonso (McLaren) – $ 40 million, including bonuses
2. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) – 31 million+bonuses
3. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) – 30 million+bonuses
4. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) – 8.5 million including bonuses
5. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) – 7 million+bonuses
6. Daniel ricciardo (Red bull) – 6.5 million+bonuses
7. Felipe Massa (“Williams”) – 5 million
8. Nico Hulkenberg (“Reno”) – 3 million
9. Max Verstappen (Red bull) – 3 million+bonuses
10. Sergio Perez (“Force India”) – 2.5 million

The new season of Formula 1 starts on March 26 in Australia and will wrap up on 26 November in Abu Dhabi.
