Air transport passenger traffic increased by 70%

Воздушный транспорт Украины увеличил пассажиропоток на 70%The state statistics service summed up the results of the transport industry in the first month of 2017.

In January 2017 the turnover of transport enterprises in Ukraine amounted to 27.2 billion ton-kilometers, which is 23.7% more than the volume of January, 2016 Enterprises of transport carried 49.8 million tonnes of cargo, 21% more volume of January 2016 this is evidenced by the State statistics service of Ukraine.

The highest increase in cargo turnover was demonstrated pipeline (+28,8%) transport. Worst performance – water transport (66,6% from January 2016). The railroad was improved by 22.2%, motorists 22.1%, air transport by 3.3%.

It is interesting to note that the structure of the Railways the volume of building materials increased 2.4 times, of ferrous metals – by 79.5%, grain and grinding products – by 77,8%. However, the transportation of timber fell by 40.6%, of fertilizers – by 13.4%.

For passenger transport, in January 2017, their volume increased by 13.8% (period to period) and amounted to 7.1 billion passenger-kilometers. Total passenger transport services were used 360,8 million people, which is 6.2% more than in January 2016.

It is noteworthy that the growth of passenger traffic recorded in all segments of the industry. The passenger turnover of air transport increased by 70.4%, water 27.5%, automotive – 5.4%, train – 0.3%.
