French airline Air France this fall plans to launch a low-cost carrier Boost. According to Euronews, the low-cost airline will fly at discount prices on unprofitable areas.
The company plans to hire 250 pilots. However, their salary will be 40% lower than in the parent company.
The budget carrier fleet will be 10 aircraft for long-haul flights and 18 – for flights on internal lines. Air France forecast that the profit from the project will amount to about EUR 40 million per year.
It is expected that the company will enter the market with medium-haul flights this fall, and with the long flight in mid – 2018.
