Ukrtransgaz purchased from Naftogaz gas at prices higher than the cost for industrial consumers.
The Antimonopoly Committee initiated proceedings against Naftogaz and Ukrtransgaz on purchasing gas at inflated prices. This is stated in the order of the Chairman of AMKU Yury Terentyev, writes the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference to Economic truth.
It is noted that in the period 2017-2018 years, the company purchased primarily gas from Naftogaz, including through the negotiation procedure and at public auction, at a cost that was higher than the Ukrainian energy exchange.
“The weighted average cost of gas sold by Naftogaz, Ukrtransgaz is higher than the cost of gas for industrial consumers”, — follows from the document.
“The purchase of gas at inflated prices leads to higher base prices for natural gas used to provide services UTG balancing entities who are the customer of gas transportation services, and consequently leads to higher prices for consumers”, — stated in the AMC.
In this regard, it initiated proceedings on signs of the Commission of the companies ‘ violations in the form of abuse of dominant position, which is to purchase gas at inflated prices.
