Over a thousand protesters against the “tax on profits” passed through the Central streets of the Belarusian Brest and blocked traffic on the main thoroughfare of the city.
The protesters shouted “Basta!”, “Lukashenka, go away!”, “I don’t want to pay the thieves, parasites and cops”. “No salary – there is a tax, MP wallet. The real parasite is the one who invented the decree.”
Part of participants of the unsanctioned rally of about 150 people agreed to go to the town hall to meet the mayor of the city Alexander Rogacica.
Motorists supported the protesters welcome signals. The police did not intervene in the course of the unsanctioned protest.
The present action in Brest – the third and most numerous. In the previous protest pickets participated 100 and 300 people. Recall, protests against the decree of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko “On prevention of social dependency” are almost a month in the capital and cities across the country, gathering more and more participants.
