It seems the future is now.

Robots don’t just come, they take jobs, forcing employees people. Anyway, in Japan it has become a reality. Near Nagasaki opened a hotel where all staff members — robots. Most importantly, once at the reception guests of the hotel, not to be frightened. And then everything will be quite comfortable.

In recent times robots replacing workers, people in a variety of industries in developed countries. According to a recent study conducted jointly by economists from mit and Boston University, because each robot lost his job for up to 6 people, and wages have fallen by as much as three-quarters of a percent. Another study showed that between 1990 and 2007 due to industrial robots lost his job 670 000 Americans. The Brits are sounding the alarm, claiming that more than 10 million British workers could be replaced by robots within the next 15 years.

Although mechanization in the industry is “necessary” in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs, robots in Japan are stepped much further. That only is the hotel Henn-na (translated as “strange”) near Nagasaki, which was declared “the world’s first hotel staffed only by robots”. And indeed it is — from the Concierge to the Bellman — are all robots.

Behind the reception Desk guests are greeted by three humanoid robot: the girl menacing-looking robotic dinosaur, and a small Android. Robots that are able to communicate in different languages, explain the guests as they can check in, and accept payment. Robot receptionist then delivers the Luggage to the room, and in the room the robotic arm unpacks the suitcases and putting things in the cupboards.

This hotel has no keys, instead of them on each door used face recognition system. each room has a small robot in the shape of a Tulip, which sits on the nightstand and advises guests throughout the duration of their stay. This robot can voice command to turn on or off the lights, and tell us the weather and set an alarm for the morning.

The owner Hideo Sawada wants to make Henn-na the “most efficient hotel in the world” by reducing the workforce and robotics 90% of the staff.

Also, importantly, the Henn-na was designed to be environmentally friendly. All rooms are equipped with innovative cooling instead of standard air conditioning. The layout of the building optimizes the flow of air, and for meals, the hotel uses solar panels.
