A terrible storm in Transcarpathia: the wind broke the trees and demolished the roofs of the houses

The region flooded several houses and households, in some villages there is no electricity.

Prolonged heavy showers and strong gusts of wind caused lots of damage in the Transcarpathian region. In the evening, the seventh of June, the weather in Vynohradiv district flooded a few dwellings, and in Rakhiv strong wind demolished the roof of residential buildings.

“Because of the gusts of wind, on the street in Vinogradovo, on the carriageway of the road a tree fell and damaged the car “VAZ 21099”. On the street. the tree has damaged the roof of the building “Regional football Federation”. Also on the street due to the fall of the tree was limited to the movement of vehicles. And on the street. was podtopleny private house, where rescuers evacuated about 70 m3 of water”, – reported in gschs.

Also, due to the heavy rain of a powerful runoff of rainwater podtopil household and house in the village of V. kom’yaty. The water level in the house reached about 20 cm, but by 20.30 water descended by gravity.

At the same time in the village of Kosovo Polyana Rakhiv district, the hurricane blew. Within a few minutes in the village Bansky the wind completely demolished the roof of a residential building and damaged the roof of three homes.

“Was felled a few dozen fruit trees, about 50 homes were left without electricity. The wind also damaged the roof at school”, – informs the regional state administration of Transcarpathia.

Until the end of the day restoration work in Kosivs’ka Polyana will finish it.
