6 myths about cellulite that it is time to stop believing

For any girl the word “cellulite” is worse than a death sentence.

Women’s skin — not the citrus, but the “orange peel” on the thighs and buttocks – the so-called cellulite, is a widespread phenomenon.

So what is it and how can I fight it?

Myth 1. Cellulite is a disease.
Yes, indeed, there is an inflammatory disease. It is caused by a bacterial infection and treated with antibiotics. What we used to call the cellulite (“orange peel”), its name is not deserved. In this case there is a change of subcutaneous adipose tissue and stagnation of interstitial fluid. And illness such defect is not.

Myth 2. Enough to lose weight – and cellulite by itself will resolve.
Not a fact. The great value has the way to lose weight. If you do it correctly (to keep a balanced diet and to combine it with exercising), the appearance of cellulite is really reduced. But a strict diet only exacerbate the problem. After drastic weight loss, the skin and the muscle fibers stretch and SAG, making cellulite just more noticeable.

Myth 3. This issue occurs in adulthood.
No. The appearance of cellulite is associated with the level of female hormones and their fluctuations are most visible during pregnancy, menopause and during puberty. So not just for Mature ladies, but in approximately 15% of girls found this defect. Teen cellulite is characterized by rapid growth. But sometimes it takes itself, when the hormonal storm subsides.

Myth 4. From orange peel is easy to clean, eliminating harmful products.
Diet is important, but it is not enough. After all, there are other risk factors: physical inactivity, lack of fluids, frequent wearing of shoes with stiletto heels and tight clothes, bad habits. Some diseases impair the circulation of lymph and blood circulation in the tissues, and thus provoke the development of cellulite. In particular, hormonal disturbances, hypothyroidism, varicose veins, scoliosis. Therefore, the impact should be integrated.

Without the help of physical training to overcome cellulite difficult. No need to visit a gym, you can just daily at a brisk pace to walk at least 4-5 km. Or swimming, rollerblading, skiing, Bicycle.

Myth 5. Went to the swelling problem areas, it is necessary to drink less.
