In July of this year, the horror community suffered a great loss – the death of George Romero, the “father” of the modern zombie genre buddy Stephen king and directed such films as “night of the living dead”, “the Kaleidoscope of horrors” and “Martin”. Amazingly, for all its no doubt the merits of Romero was not marked personal star on the famous “walk of fame” of Hollywood.
In fact, shortly before his death, horror icon, his name was selected to receive such stars. It was planned that the tile will be solemnly installed in October – and these plans still has not been canceled (and it would be strange to cancel them after the master’s death). The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 25. “Star” Romero will become 2621-th. Already announced that the ceremony will be attended by the filmmaker (“a Zombie named Sean”) Edgar Wright and a master of special effects and makeup (the Walking dead) Greg Nicotero.
All fine and dandy, but Sam Romero, alas, no longer redeemed in glory. As the “host” side, the ceremony will be attended by the widow of the Director.
