A police spokesperson has urged the public to stay away while officers continue their search of the ara.
“Following an incident at Crawley College we can confirm two are being treated for minor injuries,” the spokesperson added. “These are not gunshot wounds.”
A journalist for the Brighton Argus reported that an eyewitness who was in the park opposite the college said he had heard “loads of screaming and shouting” before police arrived on the scene.
More than a dozen armed officers and numerous police vehicles could be seen near Crawley College, in images posted to social media.
