Levada center invited the Russians to answer the question, are they ready to vote in the presidential election for the candidate named Andrey Semenov, who was supported by Vladimir Putin. 18 percent of respondents said that they would vote for Semenov.
The survey showed that 11 percent of Russians have heard about the fact that Putin has supported Semenov. Three percent said that they had heard about it and are willing to support such a candidate. Eight percent have heard, but to vote for him are not ready.
15 percent of survey participants have not heard anything about Semenov, but vote for him I agree.
Almost two thirds of respondents said they did not know about the support Semenova Putin and not going to vote for Semenov.
A sociologist at the Levada center Karina Pipia told the newspaper Vedomosti that the experiment with a question about a non-existent candidate “was conducted for understanding how the authority of the incumbent applies to the area of electoral attitudes of the Russians.”
