Zuckerberg confirmed the development of a device for reading minds

The head of Facebook says that the gadget is similar to a bathing cap stuffed with electrodes.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook is seeking to access information about their users not only through their smartphones and computers, but also directly from the brain.

Such technologies will one day allow users to navigate through a menu or even typing using only their thoughts.

Zuckerberg believes that people should be given the opportunity to Orient and navigate in augmented reality and virtual reality by thought. The system analyzes electrical brain activity and also track characteristics of blood flow in those or other areas of the head.

The head of Facebook says that the device is similar to a bathing cap stuffed with electrodes. Such electrodes are able to optimize the interface for a wide spectrum of augmented reality: projection information in the image in the glasses of augmented reality to print the “power of thought” is absent in reality the keyboard. Earlier, a similar reading of the subcortical signals was only possible by inserting electrodes into the brain.

Reporters noted that “Zuckerberg’s enthusiasm about this work is somewhat ironic, because the company lost a lot of trust among its users after repeated reports of violations of confidentiality.” Millions of Americans left the social network in 2018, therefore, according to the authors, “the future plans for Facebook to create interface between brain and computer seem strangely detached from this reality.
