18-year-old Ukrainian Dayana Yastremsky step away from the title at the WTA International tournament in Hua hin.
For the second final in a career Yastremsky competed with the 98-th racket of the world of Poland’s Magda linette. In August of last year the tennis players met in new haven – the match Dayana won in two sets (7:6, 7:6). Today Ukrainian coped with Lynette more confident.
At the start of the match Yastremsky played a double break-point, then with the score 3:3 pulled out another tough game on his serve. Lynette with the score 4:5 made a struggle on his serve, and Yastremsky did not miss this chance – Dayan on the second set-bole brilliant flick on the line ended the game in their favor.
The second set, the Ukrainian started with a lost game on his serve, but immediately returned to the game and did not allow Lynette to seize the initiative. Yastremsky continued to attack at the reception – two break points Lynette played, but when the score was 3:4 still gave the game on his serve. Yastremsky were left to file for the final, which she did superbly.
Dayana Yastremsky from Monday to debut in the top 40 of the WTA rankings, and in case of victory in the final over Australian Islay Tomljanovic will become the 35th player in the world.
