The former President intends to initiate the process of exchanging “all for all” if Poroshenko will ask him.
Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych during a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday, February 6, said he was ready as a mediator to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the issue of exchange of detained persons in the Donbass.
“I’m ready to take the initiative. If I hear Poroshenko, if he has the desire to solve this problem, I am ready to initiate this question. If necessary, I am ready to talk with Putin, if such initiative from the Ukrainian side, I am ready to discuss this proposal.”
Thus Yanukovych emphasized that we are talking about the “exchange “all for all” and at one time. “It’s not the market, – he said. – One question [to the President]: “all in all?”
Yanukovych also urged Poroshenko to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. “It’s time to stop talking in tongues, and begin to fulfill them. For this purpose there are all conditions needed is the political will,” said the ex-President.
He also urged Poroshenko to sit down at the negotiating table with the residents of Donbass to end the conflict.
