In March of this year debuted the Samsung S8 able to recognize the owner’s face or even pictures. On September 12 they showed us the Apple iPhone X, which recognizes the identity of the three-dimensional scan of the person, but does not always work. Next year will be the announcement of Xiaomi smartphones Mi 7 and Samsung Galaxy S9, and they will also be able to identify a person by his face.
For Xiaomi Mi 7 and Samsung Galaxy S9 facial recognition will be developed by the company Qualcomm, and the appropriate technology it will embed directly into their new Qualcomm processor 845, although without special cameras like in the IPhone X, still will not do. Development itself has received the name of Structured Light Module or SLiM, and Qualcomm does not intend to limit the scope of its use only smartphones.
Run its new the flagship 2018 Xiaomi Mi 7 and Samsung Galaxy S9, then she would start to integrate it into cars, quadcopters, monitors, and other devices, so data protection and, more importantly, movable property will rise to a new level.
