Lee Miller (Lee Miller) was born 23 APR 1907. She left the fashion world to become a fearless war photographer in the harsh 1940s. throughout my career, she photographed countless women, first as a fashion photographer and then as a photojournalist during the Second world war. She documented the social consequences of the fighting, in particular, the impact of war on women throughout Europe. Lee Miller became one of the most significant war photographers in the 20th century. Her photographs reveal the stories of those women whose lives have been affected by war beyond the battlefields.
At the age of seven she was raped by a family friend in Boston and was infected with gonorrhea. At age 19 she became a popular fashion model adorned the cover of Vogue and posed for Edward Steichen. 1929 was assistant, model and Muse of man ray in Paris. In 30 years became friendly with Picasso, who painted a portrait of her. At 38 years old she posed for the famous photos in the bathroom of Hitler.
