World Cup hockey-2017: Sweden reached the playoffs, the return of the Finns

In Cologne and Paris continues the ice hockey world championship in the top division.

Group A:

Team USA scored the fifth victory in a row and topped the group A. In the match against Slovakia shone the leader of the “calgary” johnny Goodro, on account of which double and one assists.

Sweden is not expected to face any serious problems in the match with Denmark. “Tre Kronor” thanks to the double William Nylander scored its third consecutive victory and secured a spot in the quarterfinals.

Group B:

The Czech Republic has dealt a painful blow to the ambitions of the French, do not lose hope to break into the playoffs. Two goals, with Michal Rzepka and reliable game of the goalkeeper allowed the Czechs to gain a foothold in the top 4 of group B.

Finland has won a major victory over Switzerland – “Suomi” with the puck Valtteri Filppula picked up two points, won the third victory in a row and became a favorite to reach the playoffs.

France — Czech Republic 2:5 (0:1, 1:2, 1:2)

Switzerland — Finland 2:3(2:1, 0:0, 0:1, 0:1)

Standings: Canada, Czech Republic – 13, Switzerland – 12, Finland – 11, Norway 8, France – 7, Belarus – 4, Slovenia – 1.
