During the call-up of reserve officers from among the graduates of military departments of women and men will be attracted to service on equal terms. This is stated on the website of the Ministry of defense.
Today the Minister of defense Stepan Poltorak signed a decree on conscription of reserve officers for military service in the Armed forces of Ukraine.
“All men and women will be conscripted on equal terms. I want to note that women have proven their ability to perform tasks, including in the areas of ATO, not worse than men,” said Deputy chief of General staff, Lieutenant General Artur Artemenko.
It is noted that as at the end of may 2017 in the Ukrainian army serve more than 23 thousand servicemen-women, including 3.2 thousand women officers.
Recall that this year, APU will call about 4 thousand reserve officers – those who graduated from military departments of universities, but not previously served.
