Ukrainian tennis player Kateryna Kozlova without a chance lost in the first round of Wimbledon.
The draw in the first round of Wimbledon brought Kozlov with the 74th-ranked Jennifer Brady. A native of Nikolaev in the first intramural match against American women tried to secure their first victory in the main draw of the grass Slam.
At the start of the match, Kozlov missed two break-point, after which Brady grabbed the initiative – American made two breaks and held on to his serve and lost only five goals.
In the second set, Kozlov again lost her serve and let the opponent in the lead. With the score 5:3 Brady came out to serve for the match, but faced with a desperate resistance of the Ukrainian – Kozlova from the third break-point for the first time took the filing of the Americans and returned to the game. In the tiebreak, Catherine took the three points at the reception and equalized.
Comeback in the second set took away from the Gantry, all the forces in the decisive game Catherine quickly lost four games in a row and get back in the game failed.
Ekaterina Kozlova became the third Ukrainian player, who failed to overcome the starting round of Wimbledon. On the eve of the herbal Helmet ignominiously left Elina Svitolina and Ekaterina Bondarenko.
