Setting a record for views teaser trailer for “It” (It) has established, I think, still a record for number of comments. Probably, until then, until a new stills and video, fans will long to revisit the first movie, to dismantle his bones, (we are already in the process – proof time, proof two), to discuss and to ask questions.
One of the questions to the teaser already announced: in the scene with Beverly in the bathroom sink not gushing blood like in the novel of Stephen king in the first TV adaptation and that the flow of the strange black sludge. This is well illustrated in the following videos, directly comparing two of the film adaptation:
Black blood? Why?..
The answer, in fact, simply nowhere. It’s all about the censorship, fucking censorship. The creators of the movie intentionally “colored” red blood black – admitted the Director Andreas Moschetti. In fact, he told more about this during the closed pre-premiere screening of the teaser. In particular, he warned all who saw this video, they look not finished version of the video, there still needed to apply some special effects. No one understood what it was about, as the teaser looked quite complete. And it was just the color of blood. In fact, “incomplete” video, the blood was red. The Studio had to repaint it black for the official teaser to get the censors Association the MPAA “green” light.
If someone does not know, there are “green” trailers, having a rating of PG-13, and “red” (red band) with a rating of R. “Red” are the rollers with the Mat, blood, and other wonderful nishtyak, only show them to a much more narrow audience than “green” to almost everyone. The latter are accompanied by the words “The following preview has been approved for ALL AUDIENCES by the Motion Picture Association of America”.
So, to obtain “green” status of the video must not contain high doses of violence, plenty of blood, torture, dismemberment, mutation, scenes of the beating and so on and so on and so forth.
In General, the abundance of blood can lead to the fact that the film don’t get what the R-rating, but does poluprorocheski NC-17. In the history of the famous cases when the filmmakers found creative ways to avoid this. For example, the battle scene in “Kill bill” was shot in black and white. Or remember “sin City”, which is made in black and white style (with splashes of yellow), despite the abundance of blood. If the blood on the screen is not red, then the MPAA, so to speak, does not consider her blood.
The question in this context remains: what about the blood in the film? Producer Dan Lin promised that the movie will get a bloody hard R rating, but will eat it if the Studio for a mass PG-13?.. I hope not.
