Ukrainian priest Alexander Dedyukhin has published in Facebook a picture of 400 years ago where a young girl dressed in Ukrainian colors, holds in his hands the crown of conquerors, and under her feet is a cornucopia.
“A young girl dressed in the colours of the flag of Ukraine, holding of the crown of the defeated kings, the invaders who dared to encroach on her freedom. Above the girl’s head, scattered cumulonimbus clouds and already showing bits of blue sky, and at her feet is a Cornucopia, which is sure to be filled, ensuring her wealth and prosperity,” he described the picture Dedyukhin.
This artwork is called “a Happy society, which won misfortune.” Its author is an Italian artist Orazio Gentileschi, who created it in 1624-1625.
Users of the social network in the majority reacted positively to the publication, expressing hopes for a better future for Ukraine.
