According to her, most often age affects the lungs and vessels: lung tissue is gradually mixed with the coupling, and the vessels become less infiltrate for oxygen and nutrients.

Accordingly, this causes chronic oxygen deprivation (hypoxia) in body in which there is intensive metabolism in the brain, heart, liver and kidneys.

Says Skitalinskaia, spinach is able to cope with hypoxia.

Benefits of spinach?

• Activates an important protein HIf-1 which, in turn, activates genes that prevent cells to die from chronic oxygen starvation.

• Helps to restore the cell a sufficient number of mitochondria (structures in the cell that produce energy).

• Gives cells a certain quantity of nitrates, which produce nitric oxide, is struggling with hypoxia, increasing the permeability of blood vessels.

• It has anti-inflammatory effects, protects DNA, brain cells, heart, blood vessels and other tissues from mutation and aging.

• Contains coenzyme Q10, which stimulates the production of energy.

• Spinach is rich in carotenoids and betaine, vitamins C, E, which revitalizes the skin and also useful for vision;

• Increases the resistance to physical stress;

• Has anti-carcinogenic effect.

How to eat spinach?

The expert recommends to use fresh spinach, for example, in salads, smoothies, pasta, omelettes and the like.

It is also possible to weld a little. For example, in soups to add at the end of cooking, when expelled fire.

However, people who have ulcer, kidney stones and gout should limit the consumption of spinach. According to Skitalinskaia, in such cases it is permissible to add to the diet 1-3 leaf spinach.
