According to Muharsky, this situation is ridiculous.
Ukraine for reasons of common sense should ignore the ultimatum of the leader of the ruling party of Poland “law and Justice” Jaroslaw Kaczynski and other statements by Polish politicians regarding the historical role of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the founder of Ukrainian nationalism Stepan Bandera.
This opinion was expressed by the singer and actor Antin mukharsky.
According to him, if the Ukrainian side will engage in a discussion, the tone of which is set in Poland, it will only aggravate the situation.
“No need to respond. If contact with people who openly provoke a fight, a fight… We are trying to tighten mortally scope of history… This is done in order to (by the rules), domestic conflict we have to take our resource, our emotions,” said mukharsky.
He stressed that this approach is unhelpful because the poles and the Ukrainians need to focus on how to build new relations taking into account modern realities.
“The principles on which to build a new relationship? If we quarrel, it will be a conflict for the ages. The Ukrainians slaughtered the poles, and they destroyed the Ukrainians. This do not come out of nowhere,” said the artist. He recalled how in the Western regions of Ukraine from 1918 to 1939, the local population was under the Polish yoke. It is this, said mukharsky, and was the cause of the Polish-Ukrainian conflict. “Ukrainian nationalism emerged as a response to the actions of Poland”, – said the guest.
“In the historical period we have had conflicts. But why this shift to a modern relationship?” – said the actor.
According to him, this situation is ridiculous. “It’s like if I came to Germany with the words “and you’ve killed!”. As for me, the Germans look? Like crazy,” said mukharsky and wagged his finger at his temple. “And Kaczynski, too, so we must say goodbye”, he added.
