“The main goal of the company is satisfaction of needs of population, industrial and other consumer groups for services in centralized water supply and drainage. It is about 50 thousand of people in controlled by the Ukrainian authorities of the territory and about 400 thousand people on the territory of certain districts of Luhansk region (ORLO)”, – stated in the message.
The Ministry said that for a long time, the water utility provided water consumers ORLO, without receiving any compensation for his consumption.
“During this time the company has accumulated a debt for the consumed resources, including electricity. According to the manual, the amount of debt for electricity amounts to 145 million, therefore the supply of drinking water in uncontrolled territory at this stage is impossible,” – said in the message.
