Special envoy of the US state Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker is convinced that the Russians are unable to participate in the peacekeeping mission in the Donbas. He said this during a meeting with Ukrainian MPs, writes in Facebookнардеп from BPP Mustafa Nayem.
On the question whether the participation of Russians as peacekeepers in the Donbass, Walker replied: “I can’t imagine.”
As noted by Nye, for Walker it is critical that the peacekeeping mission was militarized, not just monitoring, and acting on the part of the Russian-Ukrainian border, which is currently not controlled by Ukraine.
As reported, Walker believes that the UN resolution for peacekeepers in the Donbas may take until the end of this year.
