About it in interview to TV channel “Rain” said US special envoy on the settlement in Ukraine Kurt Volker, commenting on the meeting with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov.
“It was a serious and Frank conversation. We had some disagreements. Everything was honestly and openly. We came to a consensus that the status quo will not bring anything good to anyone. This is bad both for Russia and for Ukraine, and for the residents of Donbas. We need to find a way out of this situation,” said Walker.
According to him, the parties came to a common opinion that it is of great importance to the security aspect and the political aspect.
“At the moment, the Minsk process will not solve the problem,” said Walker.
